Celebrating our 5th Year Anniversary

Ducommun is proud to mark our 5-Year Anniversary sponsoring STEM on the Sidelines™ in partnership with the Los Angeles Chargers and the University of California, Irvine UCI Samueli School of Engineering. STEM on the Sidelines™ is a regional competition that promotes STEM (Science Technology Engineering & Mathematics) education. On December 10, 2022, fourteen teams from schools in Los Angeles and Orange County competed at the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA for top honors.

In honor of celebrating our 5th year anniversary of STEM on the Sidelines™, the winning teams were also given grants in support of their school's STEM programs.

The 2022 STEM on the Sidelines™ Champions, UHS Trojans of University High School in Irvine, CA were honored at the Los Angeles Chargers football game on December 18, 2022 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA. Ducommun's VP & Chief Human Resources Officer, Laureen Gonzalez, and representatives from University of California, Irvine, Marvin Maldonado and Nicole Patterson joined the honorees on the field.

We would like to acknowledge the students, teachers, and parents for their participation and involvement in this year's competition. We would also like to extend a special thanks to the Los Angeles Chargers and University of California, Irvine for their continued partnership and support.
