Ducommun is excited to share our 7th year sponsoring STEM on the Sidelines™ in partnership with the Los Angeles Chargers and the University of California, Irvine UCI Samueli School of Engineering. STEM on the Sidelines™ is a regional competition that promotes STEM (Science Technology Engineering & Mathematics) education. On December 7, 2024, twenty teams from schools in Los Angeles and Orange County competed at the Chargers new training facility, The Bolt, in El Segundo, CA for top honors.

The 2024 STEM on the Sidelines™ Champions, Trojans 2 of University High School in Irvine, CA were honored at the Los Angeles Chargers football game on December 19, 2024 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA. Ducommun's Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer, Stephen G. Oswald, and Rajiv Tata, VP General Counsel & Corporate Secretary; Nicole Patterson, representing UCI Samueli School of Engineering and Marvin Maldonado representing the University of California's MESA program joined the honorees on the field.
We would like to acknowledge the students, teachers, and parents for their participation and involvement in this year's competition. We would also like to extend a special thanks to the Los Angeles Chargers and University of California, Irvine for their continued partnership and support.
The winning teams were also given grants in support of their school's STEM programs.
